Who should be certified in ITIL(r).

Over the years, businesses have seen a significant shift in how they approach problems and process bottlenecks. ITIL Certification online teaches individuals how to solve technical issues and plan their product lifecycle keeping customer experience in mind. There are four stages to ITIL certification. We will briefly examine each stage and discuss who should take these ITIL certifications.
ITIL, Information Technology Infrastructure Library, is a collection of IT practices that deal with IT service management and IT asset administration. ITIL’s main goal is to ensure that IT services are aligned with current business needs. AXELOS, which offers ITIL certification online, owns ITIL and allows businesses to use ITIL intellectual property.
ITIL’s goals are to improve efficiency and provide predictable service levels. They are neither organization-specific nor technology-specific. They are not technology-specific nor organization-specific.
ITIL Service Strategy: Aligns IT department with core business
ITIL Service Design: IT services that support businesses
ITIL Service Transition: Transitioning between the development and operation phases
ITIL Service Operation – Ensuring services are delivered within agreed-upon service levels
ITIL Continual Service Improvement. Identifying and implementing improvement to provide better service
ITIL and its Origins
The quality of Information Technology services provided to the British Government during the 1980s was not up to par by IT professionals. In response to increasing dependence on Information Technology, the British Government’s Central Computers and Telecommunications Agency and the Office of Government Commerce (OGC), developed a framework that allows efficient and fiscally responsible utilization of IT resources within the British Government and private sector.
ITIL’s earliest version was known as Government Information Technology Infrastructure Management. The framework was quickly adopted by companies and enterprises in the early 1990s. Over the years, ITIL services have evolved and been accepted by many countries. Let us now look at the timeline and all that followed. 1980: ITIL was released to standardize IT management practices within British Government.
1990: ITIL acceptance by the British Government and other countries
2000: CCTA merged with OGC. Microsoft used ITIL for their proprietary Microsoft operations Framework (MOF).
2001: ITIL 2 was updated. ITIL 2 was released with updates. ITIL quickly became the most popular IT management framework in the world.

PMI Global Congress 2009 North America – egmb757lover via flickr I will fly to Orlando, FL for the PMI Global Congress 2009. If you are going to be in the area, and would like? I would love to have a chat over a cup of coffee with you. Let me know if you would like to have a chat over a cup coffee. Even if you aren’t able to attend the conference, it would still be great to have a chat. From Saturday afternoon to Tuesday, I will be at Gaylord Palms in Kissimmee. Why should you care about social media? This is the title of the presentation that I will be giving with my fellow members from the PMI New Media Council. I will be presenting along with Bas De Baar (Project Shrink), and Cornelius Fichtner, (PM Podcast). Our presentation will be a role-play to show the power of collaboration tools. Cornelius will live perform his role from Switzerland! It’s a great way to show remote collaboration! It’s Sunday morning in Switzerland! …. doesn’t have the same ring tone as SNL. Other members will be discussing new/social media tools to manage tasks, status reporting, project communication, and other topics. It should be a lot fun! Other presenters: Dave Garrett (Gantthead), Elizabeth Harrin (“Girl’s Guide to PM”), Jerry Manas (“PMThink!”). ), Chalyce Nallsch (PM Boulevard), Hal Macomber(Reforming PM). Here’s a link that will give you a brief description of the presentation: Why should you care about social media? I also plan to attend these presentations while there. As you can see, I am biased towards presentations on Agile and Lean project management.
