How to Use GoArmyEd to Get Credentialing Assistance

GoArmyEd is the Army’s virtual gateway to education including the Army COOL credentialing lookup. The Army believes that education is the key to a soldier’s success, both personally and professionally. GoArmyEd connects soldiers to Army education counselors, schools, tuition assistance, and your education records regardless of where you are stationed. Here’s how to use the portal to find the best certifications for your career and get credentialing assistance related to your current Military Occupational Specialties (MOS).

Army COOL Credentials
A credential is often the most effective way of translating military training and experience into terms that civilians understand. Credentials consist of certifications awarded by independent non-government credentialing agencies and licenses awarded by non-DoD government agencies.
The Army prides itself on life-long learning and it’s emphasis on credentialing will be a plus for you. To take advantage of that, GoArmyEd offers the Army COOL website as a resource for:
Getting background information about civilian licensure and certification in general and specific information on individual credentials including eligibility requirements and resources to prepare for a credentialing exam.Identifying licenses and certifications relevant to Army MOSs for enlisted soldiers and Warrant Officers.Learning how to fill gaps between Army training and experience and civilian credentialing requirements.Learning about resources available to Soldiers that can help them gain civilian job credentials.Use this link to find approved NHDoD Army COOL Certifications Related to Your MOS
Credentialing plan
While universities can take months to prepare you for a traditional college degree, training to pass a credentialing exam can take just a week or more depending on experience. eLearning can be accessed to refresh on specific topics, but many times a live learning experience such as NHDoD bootcamp training will ensure you get the credential you need with Test Pass Assurance.
NHDoD offers training for over 74 Army COOL approved certifications related to 167 MOS job titles with 87 Opportunities for Promotion Points.

PMI Global Congress 2009 North America – egmb757lover via flickr I will fly to Orlando, FL for the PMI Global Congress 2009. If you are going to be in the area, and would like? I would love to have a chat over a cup of coffee with you. Let me know if you would like to have a chat over a cup coffee. Even if you aren’t able to attend the conference, it would still be great to have a chat. From Saturday afternoon to Tuesday, I will be at Gaylord Palms in Kissimmee. Why should you care about social media? This is the title of the presentation that I will be giving with my fellow members from the PMI New Media Council. I will be presenting along with Bas De Baar (Project Shrink), and Cornelius Fichtner, (PM Podcast). Our presentation will be a role-play to show the power of collaboration tools. Cornelius will live perform his role from Switzerland! It’s a great way to show remote collaboration! It’s Sunday morning in Switzerland! …. doesn’t have the same ring tone as SNL. Other members will be discussing new/social media tools to manage tasks, status reporting, project communication, and other topics. It should be a lot fun! Other presenters: Dave Garrett (Gantthead), Elizabeth Harrin (“Girl’s Guide to PM”), Jerry Manas (“PMThink!”). ), Chalyce Nallsch (PM Boulevard), Hal Macomber(Reforming PM). Here’s a link that will give you a brief description of the presentation: Why should you care about social media? I also plan to attend these presentations while there. As you can see, I am biased towards presentations on Agile and Lean project management.
